Commitment to a set schedule of a minimum of 15 hours a week for 3-6 months (availability 3 days per week preferred). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and high level of organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and Google Apps (Drive, Calendar, Gmail, etc.). Desire to work in an organization with a strong spirit of social justice. Completion of a criminal background check, administered by 826LA. Experience with children in professional setting a plus. Design software skills, especially Adobe Creative Suite, a plus. Access to car a plus. Spanish language proficiency a plus. General office hours are Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm. Programming schedules vary, and can start as early as 8am and end by 9pm. We encourage potential interns to review their area of focus when applying, while also keeping in mind that one’s day-to-day duties will range in complexity and depth, and will be dictated by the organization’s needs. While this is an unpaid position, we can sign off course credit, and or school- or grant-funded fellowships. All interested volunteers must complete an application to participate.
