Special instructions
Due to the nature of working with live animals in a stressful environment, we do have an age limit and cannot authorize children 11 and under to volunteer – though we do appreciate their philanthropic spirit! Children 12-15 years of age must volunteer with their oriented parent or legal guardian. Children 16-17 years of age may volunteer on their own once their parent or legal guardian has completed orientation and submitted a parent waiver allowing their child to volunteer unsupervised. The parent volunteering with their child must also undergo APA! Volunteer Orientation and onboarding in order to comply with our policies and safety protocols. Orientation fees are $20 for students and $30 for adults! Please visit the other information link to complete an application.
